Learning and Language Program (LLP)

The Learning and Language Program (LLP) is a specialized early intervention program designed for young children who have received an autism diagnosis. At The Wonder Society, we believe that children learn best through meaningful relationships and experiences. Research supports the use of naturalistic, child-led approaches that build communication, social connection, independence, and participation within a child's daily life.

Our program provides children and families with the opportunity to access individualized support in a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, develop confidence, build friendships, and celebrate their unique strengths.

Each child is paired with a trained Team Assistant (Behavioural Interventionist, BI) who works one-to-one with them using individualized strategies tailored to their interests, strengths, and support needs. Programming focuses on helping children develop functional communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, play skills, independence, and participation across home, school, and community settings.

A Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP) Consultant collaborates closely with families to develop meaningful goals, monitor progress, and ensure that supports remain responsive to the child's evolving needs. We believe that progress happens best when children feel safe, connected, and empowered to learn in ways that are meaningful to them.

School-Aged Groups

School-aged children who are interested in making friends are welcome to attend our Social Skills Club. These groups will be led by a highly skilled Team Assistant and will focus on developing social skills and problem-solving skills.

*Children in this group can comprehend short stories and follow simple instructions.

School-Aged Tutoring

The After School Program provides an individualized therapy program to meet your child’s needs in areas such as communication, emotional regulation, and independence. The children will work 1:1 with a Team Assistant, but will also participate in the Social Skills Group whenever possible for a chance to practice new skills.
